Invest in your future, then invest in your world.TM
Tropical hardwood trees are so valuable, both monetarily and to the environment, that everyone would be growing them except for one small problem: They only grow in the tropics. You can help reforest the tropics without having to own land in another country, by owning trees that we plant and take care of for you on our land. By owning tropical hardwood trees, you get to not only help reverse deforestation, but also have a very nice return on your money. What could be better? Actually, it does get better: Visiting a tropical country is a lot of fun. In fact, Costa Rica is a very popular tourist destination, and Finca Leola is located near some of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. If you come by to see your trees (and we would love to have you), part of your trip may even be tax deductible.
Here are our current prices for tropical hardwood trees. These prices are in US dollars per 100 trees. Current-year trees are available on a first come, first served basis. As soon as we sell out of one year's planting, we take orders for the next.
The prices below are in effect through March 31, 2008.

Cumulative Quantity Discounts
To encourage you to invest in tropical hardwoods earlier instead of later, we apply quantity discounts to your total purchases. That is to say, our quantity discounts are based on the total trees you own, even if you didn't buy them all at once. The table below is an example of how it works. Say you bought 100 teak trees at a time, instead of waiting to save up the money for a larger quantity. You would still spend the same total amount in the end as if you had bought them all at once, although not all of your tropical hardwood trees would be as mature.

Because there is a price break at 300 trees from $4,500 to $4,000, if you buy 200 trees for $9,000 ($4,500 x 2), then in a later year you buy another 100 trees, the purchase price for the additional 100 trees will be $3,000 dollars, bringing the price per 100 down to the $4,000 level, or a total of $12,000. After that, your price per 100 will continue to be $4,000—or less, depending on the quantities you buy. (For quantity discounts on larger purchases than shown, please contact us.) We understand that setting aside money to invest is never easy, so we want to encourage people to buy trees as soon as possible. The biggest problem with investing in tropical hardwoods is that you needed to start yesterday! Cumulative quantity discounts still apply when purchasing using tax-deferred retirement funds.
